Izaak and Me...

This was taken in November, on our pumkin carving day. Izaak is so creative, he made a horror pumkin, very fitting for our horror movie loving family. I just love this picture, being the Mom, and primary picture taker, I'm not in many of them, so I cherish the ones I do have. I am so blessed to have Izaak as my son. He shines wherever he goes and is such a compasionate person. He is always thinking and having these wild ideas. Every morning I get to listen to him explain these vivid dreams he has, it makes my make-up applications fly by! I love you Izaak Michael...

One of My Three Gifts to the World

My sweet baby girl! Two is amazing, the questions and phrases, the smiles and sincerity in her gazes. The way she calls snow "snowman" and loves to walk on the ice. She doesn't mind falling when her ice skats are on and thinks it is so funny that snow tastes just like water! They bright smile when she sees lights on houses, and it is a bonus if there is a charactor she recognizes! The Christmas of two was my favorite with my boys and now I get to see it with my daughter, the last time I'll get to experience a "two" Christmas with my children, and I'm making every moment count. I couldn't ask for a better cookie maker or tape holder while wrapping, she even understands when the Barbie I bring home isn't for her, already the concept of giving is taking form. She is to me the epitomy of beauty.

X-mas Light Walk...

I just returned form a walk with Kaleb, my 5 year old, around the neighborhood to look at X-mas lights. What a riot he is! He has this thing where he labels houses "happy" or "sad", it doesn't directly relate to the look of the house, as some look very nice. I'm trying to pin point what he bases his decision on but it seems to be a very personal thing for him. We enjoyed the lights around the town, some people must spend hours on a ladder to get those things up.
We didn't focus too much attention outside this year, just a few white lights on the picket fence. I'm glad others put in the effort though, our family really appreciates the glitter and gold! Here is our tree and part of our dining room, our stockings are hung with care!

The Crazy Holiday Season...

I manage the child care at a gym and the holiday is making children crazy. The want and the desire for everything on Nickelodian's commercial runs is driving me insane. I spend alot of time talking with the kids about the ways in which they are blessed and what they are lucky to have, and I will say in their defense, they are very aware of the good hand most of them have been dealt. Unfortunately marketing doesn't care about this lesson. Life is hard and it is so hard to teach children in the short 18 years we have their attention all the important things they need to have instilled in them, I think this is the year we actually GO to the soup kitchen to help, I need to take that first step, for the future of the charactor of my children. I'll keep you posted...

My Matilda

This is Matilda. She is a beagle/border collie mix and is 7 months old. We got her from Lost Paws Rescue and she is such a sweet girl! She is gentle with the children and is quiet as a mouse most of the time. She has a little separation anxiety but we are working through it fairly well. She hates her kennel and I can't even put her in there when she gives me those eyes! Wish me luck!

This is going to be my venting outlet! I hope it is interesting. Someone said that this is the age of everyone thinking they have something interesting to say when they have never done anything interesting, I hope this isn't the case, I would hate to blend into that. We'll see how it goes! These are my wonderful children, Aliza, Kaleb and Izaak.
