Aliza Loves Soccer!

Aliza loves to move her fast little feet all over the field! She's a great team player and has a natural competitiveness on the field that fares well for soccer! This year we were told if there weren't any more volunteers to coach they wouldn't be able to play, so I volunteered and coached Aliza's team! We were "Miss Jane's Jedis" and all the kids were great!Due to my "How to Coach Soccer for Dummies", the kids learned skills such as dribbling, passing and goal kicks. They had alot of laughs and made friends of each other quickly!
Aliza is really good at taking direction and remembers the rules really well. She isn't scared to get between the other kids and holds her own with the other agressive players.

The team was chock full of really sweet kids and I received lots of hugs at each game. The best part was how pleased Aliza was that I was her coach. She said I made it fun for her and her team, I think it's safe to claim a successful coaching experience! I think the best part was being Ali's hero for making sure she was able to play.

At the end of each game I made the parents make a tunnel for the kids to run through in victory! They LOVE this part! Then they are off for a pep talk and snack...Fun!

Tuna's First Catch!

I'm a dork, we all know, so just roll with me here...The chickens run free in Narleeville, as does the dog...but the cat is a different story, he's on a leash. He chases the chickens and runs into the woods, and I don't trust him to avoid the road, but with that being said he LOVES the outdoors, so on the leash he can have the best of both worlds! So on Saturday I put him on his leash and left him alone out by the tree to do whatever it is cats do when they are all alone. When I came back he was parading around proudly with something hanging out of his mouth...
A bird! Tuna caught a baby Robin and was eager to show me his catch! Cats often like to show their owners what they've gotten and are very proud of themselves...Tuna is no different! He was flipping it around and playing with it, all while trying to get as much praise from me as possible! It's actually quite impressive that he caught a bird while on a leash...too funny Tuna! I love my pets! Although I'm not estatic that a bird lost it's life to my cat, I guess it's just nature happening, well, naturaly. I've since burried the bird so it's decomposision can benefit my other babies...my gardens!

Izaak Graduated 8th Grade!

We attended a banquet celebration for the conclusion of Izaak's 8th grade year. It was a nice night and a fun time out for our family. We were seated next to a really friendly family and enjoyed the night as a family!
All of the 8th grade students received award for excelling in some area. We are so proud of how Izaak is growing and developing into a great young man, it's only icing on the cake that he received the award for most likely to be "A Future World Leader"!!! His strength of character and charisma is undeniable! He also received an award for "Creative Writing" as he's written some very impressive pieces this year.

Here is Eema happy to see her eldest grandson changing from a middle schooler into a High School student before her very eyes!Kaleb wanted to look extra nice for his brothers graduation and wore Luke's old Air Force tie! He was a gentleman the entire evening! Aliza loved seeing all the "big kids" and had a good night being a little lady and cheering on her "Big Ub!"

All I can say is that I'm extremely proud of my son. He's changing and growing in so many ways and it looks to me that he's turning into quite the well-rounded gentleman. And to High School we go...can you believe it?! I'd also like to add that I don't have pics of him receiving his awards, although it was an impressive presentation, the lighting was not camera friendly at all...

Happy 6th Birthday Aliza Jane!

For Ali's 6th birthday she had a party at the bowling alley! Aliza loves to bowl and with all her friends there it was even more fun!
She had about 12 kids there and her brothers were a great help keeping score! She asked me to make her a birthday cake with a chic on it, cause she loves being called "Sassy Chic"! So this was her cake and she sincerely loved it!... (I thought her brothers had coached her as to not hurt my feelings...I thought it was a little messy!)All the kids had fun bowling and eating pizza, and cake. I had a great time chit-chatting with the other Moms and it was a great party over all! Shaki (Ali's best girlfriend) even lost a tooth mid-pizza bite! She was a little embarrassed but got over it when I took a count of how many had lost teeth and how many had "wigglers!"She got great gifts and some of her friends even put their hearts into making her the sweetest birthday cards! She had me read every one of them to her.Happy birthday beautiful girl...I mean Sassy Chic! You brighten every day I get to see your smile!
